Twins Association of Zimbabwe is a multiple births Organization which houses the interest of all Zimbabwean multiple births, Known as the home of Twins. TAZI creates a platform for the welfare of all multiple births. TAZI is routed in Socio-Economic networking, Empowerment and Human (capital) Development for the betterment of multiple births

TAZI was founded in August 2016 as a brain child of the Katonha Twins who were born on 31 August 1984, Chikumo Village, Chief Nyamukoho, Mudzi District. The Katonha twins Tendai Mayor and Farai Lawyer Katonha did their primary school at Chimango Primary School during years from 1991 to 1997.
About Us
Born from a family of multiple births where all of the Father’s 3 wives (The Late Major Katonha) delivered twins during the same year (Tarisai & Lincoln Katonha, and the 3rd pair (Hazvinei & Zvikomborero Katonha.) This was a triplicate blessing which brought multiple unexpected responsibilities (six (6) same age children). Main challenges prop in when all of the 3 sets were ready to start their primary school. The farther was not employed, hence the twins were forced to drop from school either at the same time or do swap. As per narration given by the founders, at one point one of them skipped grade 4 whilst the other skipped grade 5 to secure school fees through cattle herding (mufudzi wemombe). Coming to from such a background, they felt the need to open an organization that caters for the welfare of twins. Their zeal to form an organization for twins and the dream came true in 2014 when they managed to gather more than 20 sets of twins to take part in their wedding. During the year 2016 the Katonhas brought the idea into reality by forming Twins Association of Zimbabwe (TAZI). The main objective of its formation is the creation of a twins Community where twins will share life experiences and ideas to encounter life challenges, it was the Katonhas’ belief that since almost 90% of twins do share same life experiences both financially, spiritually and social challenges, TAZI was an answer to the missing puzzle in Twin life.
